Careers at biodiversity.earth

Join the team.

We’re building the infrastructure for measurable nature recovery. Small team, significant work.

Nature recovery at scale requires people who understand both the science and the systems that finance it.

biodiversity.earth is the market-facing infrastructure for a verified portfolio of nature restoration projects across Africa and Central Asia. We direct capital to projects that restore habitat, rebuild species populations, and create measurable biodiversity outcomes — and we build the tools that make those outcomes visible to institutional buyers, corporate reporters, and the regulators who now require them to account for their nature impacts.

The team is small and the work is specific. We do not operate as a general sustainability consultancy or a carbon registry. Every person here works on the same problem: making biodiversity finance credible, transparent, and accessible to the institutions that need it most. If that problem interests you — whether from an ecological, regulatory, or technical angle — we’d like to hear from you.

  • Demonstrated field survey experience in tropical or dryland ecosystems
  • GIS fluency — habitat mapping, land cover analysis, spatial data workflows
  • Familiarity with IUCN Red List criteria and ecosystem classification frameworks

We build the team around the work, not the other way around. If you have relevant expertise in restoration ecology, biodiversity regulation, remote sensing, or sustainability data infrastructure — and the problem we’re solving interests you — send us a speculative application with a short note on what you’d bring. We read every one.

How we work.

Remote-first with Amsterdam base

The team is distributed across Europe with a home base in Amsterdam. We work asynchronously by default and meet in person when it matters.

Equity participation

All permanent hires participate in the equity structure of the company. We are a publicly listed group — EARTH on Euronext — and we build shared ownership seriously.

Meaningful work at market scale

We are building infrastructure for a market that will determine how institutional capital flows to nature recovery over the next decade. The work is consequential.

Small, focused team

No layers. Direct accountability to the outcomes. Everyone here is close to the work, and the work is close to the field.
